PROCESS FOR PRODUCING VIRAL RNA POLYMERASE

A process for producing a viral RNA polymerase of an RNA virus. More particularly, a process for producing an RNA polymerase free from viral genomic RNA. The process for producing a viral RNA polymerase comprises constructing cDNA to the RNA polymerase constitutive protein gene of an RNA virus, integrating the obtained cDNA into a baculovirus genome to thereby give a recombinant virus, then infecting insect cells with this recombinant virus and thus expressing the RNA polymerase.
