PURPOSE: A home automation system for automatically storing the image of a visitor and a method therefor are provided to previously block the trespass of an external trespasser by automatically sensing an external visitor who does not call a door and storing an image of the corresponding visitor. CONSTITUTION: In case that a crime prevention function of a home automation system is set(S401), it is sensed whether a random moving body exists near the moving body sensor(S402). In case that the random moving body is sensed during a uniform time, the moving body sensing signal and an image signal of a corresponding visitor are transmitted to a home automation device in which a videophone is installed(S403). The home automation device stores the image signal of the visitor in an internal memory and displays the image signal through the videophone(S404). It is confirmed whether a visitor exists through a screen displayed through the videophone(S405). In case that the visitor exists, the image signal of the visitor is stored at a uniform time interval(S406). It is grasped whether a power of a monitor is turned on/off(S407). In case that the power of the monitor is turned on, the image signal is displayed on the monitor(S408). A reproducing signal to an image signal previously stored from the outside is inputted(S409), the internal memory is retrieved and a corresponding signal is displayed on the monitor until a stored image does not exist in the internal memory(S410,S411).
