An explosion-protected pluggable device having a rigid basic body (2) with at least one opening reaching into the basic body (2) and receiving at least one socket contact (22). At least one electric connection device (32) is arranged within the basic body, the latter containing a pressure-tight enclosed switch between the socket contact (22) and the connector (32), and the switch having a pressure-tight actuation element (42) leading out of the basic body (2).
