摘要 PURPOSE: A method of measuring a residual image of an LCD device is provided to configure a gray scale through a luminous value of a full white, which is measured by displaying the full white on an LCD, and a luminous value of a full black, which is measured by displaying the full black, and to measure a luminous changing rate in accordance with time of the full white displayed on the LCD by using the gray scale, so as to quantify a degree of a residual image. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel and a backlight are prepared, and a back light is irradiated on a liquid crystal panel from the backlight(100). The first full white state is displayed on an LCD screen of the liquid crystal panel, and a luminous average value of a full white is found by measuring luminous values at many spots of the LCD screen for the first full white(110, 120, 130). A full black state is displayed on the LCD screen(140, 150). A luminous average value of the full black is found by measuring luminous values at many spots of the LCD screen for the full black state(160, 170). A gray scale is configured through the luminous average values of the full white and the full black(180, 190, 200). The same voltage as the first full white is applied to the liquid crystal panel to display the second full white on the LCD screen(210). A luminous change is measured by using the gray scale at many specified spots of the LCD screen according to time for the second full white state(220).
