PURPOSE: An alternator for vehicle is provided to easily control the temperature rise of a stator by enlarging a heat-conducting surface of a wire and realizing superior cooling effect. CONSTITUTION: Coil end groups(12f,12r) of a stator winding(12) are formed by rolling, and a smooth heat conducting surface is formed to the coil ends in the circumferential direction. Flowing paths(25,26) for distributing the cooling water(15) are provided to rear brackets(1,2). Moreover, the area between the coil end groups(12f,12r) and front and rear brackets(1,2) is filled with a heat conducting filler(23).
