Concrete pavement slab production recesses mold at sides for slab projections with projections and recesses well short of slab product top face and molding space underside

The recesses for projections (6) ending well spaced from the slab top face themselves end well short of the underside of the mold. After compacting the concrete in the molding space, the slab blank is removed from the mold by lowering the mold relative the blank and/or raising the blank relative the mold. Blank removal is facilitated by a vacuum grip applied to the top face of the blank which will be underside of the slab product. Otherwise a punch is applied to the underside of the blank as will later form the top face of the slab.
