The method involves entering at least a part of the voice command in form of a spelled letter sequence using a microphone (1). Each letter is unambiguously allocated to a figure of the telephone number to be dialed. Preferably, letters are allocated to some, all or nearly all numbers from 0-9. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for voice dialing a telephone number, which can be implemented in a mobile telephone.
