The method involves converting the voice data to a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) standard using the client (4,8), which is connected with a server (2) of the network (1). Signaling data, which correspond to characteristic features are converted to the VoIP standard by the server. Independent claims are also included for an emulation arrangement and a computer program product for carrying out the method.
