PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing leather which can continuously emit favorable scent without odor of chemicals used for treatment of leather during manufacturing so as to promote purchasing of consumers. CONSTITUTION: The method includes steps of providing raw material of leather; mixing the raw material with various chemicals in a drum at 20 deg.C and pH 2.8 to 3.8, followed for 15 hours; dehydrating the leather by pressing it with roller, thereby reducing the moisture content with 50 to 60%; cutting and trimming the leather with a band to have a predetermined shape; subjecting the leather to a first surface processing step by a processing roller; subjecting the leather to neutralizing, fatliquoring and dying step while mixing with various chemicals at 30 to 45 deg.C and pH 3.8 to 5.2 for 10 hours; subjecting the leather to a first drying step by applying heat at 80 to 100 deg.C for 30 to 300 seconds using a vacuum dryer or heating plate, thereby reducing the moisture content to 27 to 30%; subjecting the leather to a second drying step by drying with hot air of 60 to 80 deg.C using a hanger dryer; grinding the leather by rotation of sand paper to provide surface smoothness; controlling the smoothness of the surface; coating scent particles on the surface of the leather using a spray gun; applying heat at 60 to 80 deg.C for 10 to 20 minutes in a chamber dryer, thereby fixing the scent particles on the leather surface; and checking the leather for taking out.
