<p>A system in which the analogue signal is used as a key part of the digital signal chain, instead of being ignored. By using the analogue signal in this way the digital components need only send a delta signal, freeing up considerably bandwidth for new digital data, which can serve as an additional revenue stream. The present invention therefore allows scarce and expensive spectrum to be re-exploited for valuable digital data transmissions.</p> |
