PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to prevent a door from being opened spontaneously in cooking by restricting sliding of a latch member, and to reduce parts with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven is composed of a body(1) having a cooking chamber, a component chamber(5) and a hook fitting part(12); a door installed in the front of the body to open the cooking chamber; a latch member(40) sliding along the door, and having a hook part fitted to the hook fitting part; a door locker contacted to the latch member in closing the door to lock the door by restricting sliding of the latch member, and separated from the latch member to slide the latch member; locker driving selection parts(55) selecting the position of the door locker; and a locker driving unit(53) moving the door locker according to selection of the locker driving selection parts. The latch member is slid or restricted with separating the door locker from the latch member or contacting. Opening of the door is prevented in cooking with simple structure.
