<p>A tire burst prediction device capable of correctly predicting a tire burst and giving an alarm. A band frequency detection means (44) approximates transmission characteristics from a road surface disturbance to a wheel speed to a primary delay model, and estimates a band frequency from the frequency response of the primary delay model based on the time-series data of wheel speeds detected by a wheel speed sensor (32). A braking force gradient estimation means estimates a braking force gradient corresponding to the estimated band frequency based on a map indicating the relation between stored band frequency and braking force gradient. The estimated braking force gradient has excessive high-frequency components removed by a low-pass filter (48) to be reduced in estimation variations, and has the changed speed of a braking force gradient detected by a differentiator (50). A judgment means (38) lets an alarm means (40) give an alarm of a possible tire burst when the detected changed speed of a braking force gradient is above a specified threshold value.</p> |
