PURPOSE: An advice washing machine and the method are provided to improve the reliability and performance of a washer by analyzing the use pattern of a user, offering right control information to the user, and on-line sensing the abnormal state of the washer. CONSTITUTION: The washer comprises a key input unit(10) via which a user manipulates keys, a control unit(20) for processing the input value of the key input unit and generating a motion control signal for controlling a washer(1), a communication unit(40) for connecting the washer to the outside with response to the request of the user, a service provider(50) for transmitting the use particulars of the user and the control information about an abnormal state to the washer in connection with the communication unit, and a display unit(60) for displaying the control information to the outside. By periodically analyzing the data about the washer use particulars and abnormal state of a washer, the control data for the optimal washing environment are transmitted to the washer. The user recognizes the control information displayed on the outer face of the washer.
