An apparatus, method, and data structure for providing personal security are presented, including a sophisticated system of component technologies designed to provide automatic detection and communication of its wearer's distress to appropriate emergency help regardless of the user's location on Earth. Physiological data may be collected by an event sensor (1000). The physiological data may then be sent to a physiological feedback thread for transforming the data into body state information (1100). The body state information is then sent to a distress rules processing thread where the body state information may be compared to a general "rules base" to enable decision making about the physiological data (1200). If an emergency event is detected (1300), information concerning the type and severity of the event may be sent to a distress message management thread (1500). |
