A print character selector of a printing endless band in a printer capable o f selecting a specified print character (7A) according to whether the printing endless bands (7) are for all around printing or half around printing by preventing an excessive rotating force from acting on the printing endless bands (7) themselves to limit the rotations of the printing endless bands (7 ) for preventing reference letters (7B) from being contaminated, characterized in that, to fulfill both a half around printing function and a full around printing function by rotatably installing moderation blocks (6) as printing pressure receiving members, the selection of the printing characters (7A) is limited by the engagement of the driving protruded parts (7E) of the printin g endless bands (7) with the elastic parts (14B) of movable stopper members (1 4) and, when the driving protruded parts (7E) are not engaged with the elastic parts (14B), the selection of the printing characters (7A) is allowed and th e moderation blocks (6) receive a printing pressure applied to the printing characters (7A).
