VOICE RECOGNITION HANDSFREE DEVICE FOR VEHICLES

PURPOSE: A voice recognition handsfree device for vehicles is provided to previously prevent a traffic accident, likely to happen in the case of a telephone call in driving, by configuring a voice recognition unit to supply dial information and data to a portable phone so that a driver can implement a portable phone call using not his hand but his voice. CONSTITUTION: A voice recognition handsfree device in a portable phone(1) consists of a voice recognition unit(2) and a headset(3). The voice recognition unit(2) is comprised of a stand, a magnetic substance, a microphone(24), a speaker(25), the first filter(26), a voice recognition module(27), a key part(30), the first modulation part(28), and the first demodulation part(22). The stand, in which a connection part to connect with the portable phone(1) electrically is formed, is installed inside of a vehicle in order to mount the portable phone(1). The magnetic substance, installed in the inside of the stand, generates magnetic force so that the portable phone can be attached. The microphone(24) converts a user's voice into an electrical signal. The speaker(25) outputs the opposite side's voice signal, supplied from the portable phone(1), in sound. The first filter(26) removes noise from the voice signal inputted to the microphone(24) or outputted from the speaker(25). The voice recognition module(27) stores the user's voice inputted in a recording mode and sets up it as a reference voice for voice recognition. In the first call mode or the second call mode, the voice recognition module(24) deciphers the user's voice signal inputted through the microphone(24) or the headset(3) and transmits dial information or numeric information to the portable phone(1) through an interface(11). The key part(30) is provided to set up the call modes or the recording mode. In the second call mode, the first modulation part(28) modulates the opposite side's voice signal, outputted from the portable phone(1), into a required frequency and transmits it to the headset(3) by wireless. The first demodulation part(22) receives and demodulates the voice signal transmitted from the headset(3).
