An optical writing head in which the number of bus lines to be derived may be decreased by using a self-scanning light-emitting element array is provided. A PHI 1 bonding pad of each SLED chip is connected to PHI 1 bus line via a resistor R1, and a PHI 2 bonding pad of each SLED chip is connected to PHI 2 bus line via a resistor R2. PHI S bonding pad is connected to a PHI s bus line via resistor RS, and VGA bonding pad is connected to VGA bus line.
