PURPOSE: An LCD element is provided to form a common voltage line separately located from a TFT array on an external part of the TFT array, to apply added voltages of a gate voltage and a common voltage to a liquid crystal, thereby preventing liquid crystal degradation. CONSTITUTION: A TFT array(108) displays a picture on a back substrate(100). Many common voltage pads(102), a common voltage line(112), many gate pads(106), and a gate line(115) apply a common voltage generated from an external driver to the TFT array(108). The common voltage line(112) is formed on an external part of the TFT array(108) separately located from the TFT array(108), and is formed side by side with the gate line(115) within the TFT array(108). The gate pads(106) and the gate line(115) are reciprocally connected by a gate link(110).
