PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic structural body for purifying waste gas which is capable of accelerating catalytic reaction without clogging mesh even in the case of treating a waste gas containing dust in high concentration. SOLUTION: In the waste gas purifying catalytic structural body formed by laminating alternately a cross-sectionally step-wise, corrugated or U-shaped plate like catalytic structural body 1 obtained by bending a plate like catalyst alternately in reverse direction and a metallic or inorganic fiber-made mesh like material 2 having many through holes penetrating from the front side to the back side, a flat part 6 is formed by filling up the mesh present in a prescribed length from the gas inlet end part of the mesh-like material 2.
