PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing for a mold for injection molding capable of sufficiently performing a sealing effect of parting surfaces of the mold, obtaining the sufficient sealing effect irrespective of a working accuracy of a surface of a molding to be inserted even by using insert molding and simply mounting at a groove formed on the parting surfaces without damage and the mold for injection molding using the same packing. SOLUTION: The packing 60 comprises a long-sized base section 601 and at least one protruding strip 602 provided in a longitudinal direction. A cavity 3 corresponding to a shape of the molding to be molded is formed between a fixed side mold 1 and a movable side mold 2. The packing 60 is inserted to the groove 5 formed on the parting lines P.L. at the outside of the cavity 3. The size (d) of the groove 5 is larger than the size (a) of the base section 601 of the packing 60 to be inserted and smaller than the sum of the size (a) of the section 601 and the size (c) of the strip 602.
