PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for molding a sheet which can eliminate scatter of a quality and prevent local elongation of the sheet and the like. SOLUTION: A molding apparatus 10 has a lower mold 12 provided with a holding portion 16 and an upper mold 14 provided with a pushing-in portion 18 and the holding portion 16 and the pushing-in portion 18 compose a holding mechanism 20. A sheet 98 is placed on a tension plate 62 of the holding portion 16 to regulate a height position of the sheet 98. Pushing members 48 and 49 locally push the sheet 98 according as the upper mold 14 descends. Accordingly the sheet 98 is held in a linear state by the tension plate 62 and further the local push by the pushing members 48 and 49 sufficiently allow elongation, shrinkage or deviation of the sheet 98.
