PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable and efficient treatment over a long period of time by preventing the deterioration of and damage to the electrode plate of an electric regeneration type deionizing apparatus caused by fluoric acid, in a method for making pure water by applying deionizing treatment to fluorine ion-containing water in the electric regeneration type deionizing apparatus. SOLUTION: In the method for making pure water by applying deionizing treatment to fluorine ion-containing water in the electric regeneration type deionizing apparatus, as electrode water, water with a fluorine ion concentration of 1 mg/L or less and an electric conductivity of 10μS/cm or more is passed. Or, the inlet pH of an anode chamber is set to 8 or more.
