PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brilliant coating composition capable of giving brilliant coating film having interference, manifesting polychromatism with deepness owing to colorability, and presenting such a design as to manifest high chromatic feeling at the highlight part and both brilliant feeling and high chromatic feeling at the shade part, to provide a method for forming such a coating film, and to provide coated products coated by the method. SOLUTION: This brilliant coating composition comprises (1) an aluminum flake pigment coated with a metal oxide composite composed of a vehicle and at least two metallic elements and (2) another aluminum flake pigment. The 2nd objective method for forming a coating film using the composition is provided. The other objective coated products coated by the method are also provided.
