PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction body for footwear, which can effectively prevent sand particles, etc., from intruding in between a friction body and a support body. SOLUTION: On the inside periphery part of a golf shoe sole S, an upper side opening inside periphery ring groove S1 with square section is formed concentrically with a support body 10. An upper side opening outside periphery ring groove S2 with almost triangle section is formed concentrically at a radial distance radially outside the inside periphery ring groove S1 in the golf shoe sole S. An inside periphery projecting ring bar R1 is equipped on the lower face of the base part in the friction part 14 and an outside periphery projecting ring bar R2 on the outside periphery part of the base part. The inside periphery projecting ring bar R1 and the outside periphery projecting ring bar R2 are respectively fit in the inside periphery ring groove S1 and the outside periphery ring groove S2 and a ring part 14b is made to abut on a ring part S3 between the inside periphery ring groove S1 and the outside periphery ring groove S2 in the golf shoe sole S.
