<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and profitably synthesizing a water- insoluble, harmless solvent-soluble fluorescent substance which emits fluorescent light, when irradiated with ultraviolet light (460 to 480 nm), and to provide a method for using the fluorescent substance. SOLUTION: This method for synthesizing the endiyne compound represented by the general formula (Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, Ar4=C6H5, 4-CH3C6H4, or 4-ClC6H4). Concretely, 1,3,4,6-tetraphenyl-3-hexene-1,5-diyne, comprising reacting 1,2- dibromostylbene with phenylacetylene. The fluorescent substance can be used for an automatic discriminating classification by printing paper or a general plastic film with the fluorescent substance, drying the printed paper or film and then measuring the wavelength of emitted fluorescent light.</p> |
