PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous polycondensation device and a continuous polycondensation method which can long maintain a liquid to be treated in a cylindrical container body in a thin film-like state under stirring blades having relatively simple structures to well refresh the surfaces of the liquid, thereby efficiently obtaining a polymerization reaction product having a good quality, and to provide a continuous polycondensation device and a continuous polycondensation method which can give the treated liquid having a wide viscosity range by a small stirring consumption power. SOLUTION: The continuous polycondensation device is manufactured by disposing a stirring rotor (4) rotated in the longitudinal direction of the horizontal cylindrical container body (1) in a state adjacent to the inside of the container body, connecting plural stirring blocks in the stirring rotor to form a stirring rotor optimal to the viscosity range of the treated liquid, attaching rotation-supporting shafts (3a, 3b) to both the ends of the stirring rotor through support members, and forming a structure where a member such as a shaft is not attached to the rotation center of the stirring rotor. Thereby, the liquid to be treated in the cylinder body is shaped into a thin film with the stirring blocks optimal to the viscosity range to obtain a wide evaporation surface area, thus enabling to obtain a sufficient surface-refreshing action and thereby efficiently produce a polymer having a good quality.
