PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for civil engineering and construction materials having both excellent gloss retention and yellowing resistance, the civil engineering and construction materials using the resin composition and a covering material therefore. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the civil engineering and construction comprises an unsaturated polyester resin composition comprising an unsaturated polyester and a polymerizable unsaturated monomer and providing a cured product thereof having >=60% gloss retention (gloss retention after weathering tests for 2,000 h with a sunshine weather-o-meter based on the ISO standards).
