PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky rice transplanter with a good operating efficiency which is equipped with reserve seedling-carrying platforms on both the left and the right sides of a traveling car body, capable of reducing the left and right width of the car body from that of the conventional width so as to improve the efficiency in transportation and housing during the transportation and housing and passing over the floor surfaces on both the left and the right sides at the front of the car body while readily enabling the boarding and alighting even from the lateral sides of the car body. SOLUTION: This sulky rice transplanter is composed by integrally installing step parts 8b for boarding and alighting in positions at a lower level than that of the left and right step floors 8 at the rear of the step floors 8 between front wheels 4 and rear wheels 5 when viewed from the side of a machine body, arranging support parts 36 equipped with the seedling-carrying platforms 37 so that the support parts 36 are nearly the same left and right positions as the left and right lateral ends of the step parts 8b for boarding and alighting protruded to the left and right outsides from the step floors 8 and making the seedling-carrying platforms 37 movable from a state in which the seedling-carrying platforms 37 are overlapped onto the floor surfaces at the front of the car body on the inside of the support parts 36 and a state in which the seedling-carrying platforms 37 are located on the outside of the support parts 36 located on the outside in the left and right directions from the state.
