PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning the internal region of a filling device under such a construction that it can reach even a spot hardly accessible by a conventional device and be made at a low cost. SOLUTION: A casing 11 is provided and a plurality of filling mechanisms 14 or quantity adjusting mechanisms 13 which are movable by the use of drive mechanisms 16, 17, 18 and 19 are arranged in the casing 11. In addition, a cleaning material connection part 22 is arranged so that the cleaning material can be introduced into the casing 11 by the part 22. For cleaning, first, the casing 11 is closed outwardly excepting a ventilation part 31 and then the cleaning material is introduced into the casing 11 through the cleaning material connection part 22. Consequently, it is arranged so that a part whose cleaning is desired is submerged in the cleaning material, and after that, the filling mechanisms 14 or the quantity adjusting mechanisms 13 are moved without the ensuing motion of the cleaning material and finally the cleaning material is guided out of the casing 11.
