PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new coating which can form a coated film excellent in acid resistance, weather resistance, water resistance, retort resistance or the like, without emitting formaldehyde during its curing and without polluting a heating furnace. SOLUTION: This polyester composition is obtained by composing (A) a polyester having an acid anhydride and a number average molecular weight of 1,000-5,000 consisting of a content containing 1-10 mol% of a content having 3 or more functional groups as the curing agent for a polyester polyol (B) having a number average molecular weight of 1,000-20,000 and a hydroxyl value of 20-200 (mgKOH/g) consisting of a content containing 1-10 mol% of a content having 3 or more functional groups.
