METHOD OF REMOVING CARBON MONOXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing CO by selective oxidation which uses a heat exchange system capable of easily setting and controlling temperature of a catalyst inlet gas and enables miniaturization of an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In the method of removing carbon monoxide in a hydrogen- containing gas produced by steam reforming reaction by selectively oxidizing, the temperature of the catalyst inlet gas is uniformly controlled by providing a water cooled heat exchanger in the prestage of an oxidation catalyst and keeping temperature of a cooling medium almost constantly near the boiling point.
