PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording solution capable of providing a clear magenta- based, cyan or dark black-based printed matter for ink-jet recording, having excellent printing density, light resistance, weather resistance (environmental gas resistance) and preservation stability. SOLUTION: This recording solution in an aqueous medium for ink-jet recording has excellent printing density, light resistance, weather resistance (environmental gas resistance) and preservation stability as a recording solution by using a recording solution comprising one or more kinds of compounds selected from the group consisting of copper complexes of thioglycolic acid, thiopropionic acid, thiomalic acid, thioglycerol, triglycol dimercaptan, thiotaurine, hypotaurine, cystine, sulfoxymethylcysteamine, methionine, 2-mercapto-benzimidazolesulfonic acid, trimercaptotriazine (alkali metal salt), tannin, uric acid, ascorbic acid and a polycarboxylic acid and/or one or more kinds of coloring matters containing a cysteamine group, a cystine group, a hypotaurine group, a thiotaurine group or a mercaptoalkoxy group in their structures. |
