PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality image by correcting the hitting positional shift of ink caused by the positional shift of a recording head using an electric signal. SOLUTION: The image recorder comprises a print section 10 performing image recording by means of a recording head having a plurality of image recording elements arranged in a specified direction, a circuit 37 for generating a print pattern by altering the delivery timing (signal output timing) of a print pattern for determining shift of dots on a recording medium caused by the recording head, and a print section 10 for printing a generated print pattern. A printed pattern having no shift of dot is selected and its delivery timing is inputted from a delivery timing input section 38. The inputted timing is fed to the print section 10 at the time of image recording in order to adjust shift of print dots on the recording medium caused by the print head. |
