<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a steering switch capable of facilitating the mounting operation of a pad and switch assembly on the core of a steering wheel and reducing the man-hours for mounting to lead to a suppression of the cost. SOLUTION: The steering device is structured so that a first leg piece 62 is inserted in a mounting hole 92 in a switch assembly 82A in the condition that a compression coil spring 72 is installed between a second leg piece 64 and a mounting piece 48A of pad member 24 located between the first 62 and second leg pieces 64 of a bracket 52. When the mounting piece 48A is moved against the resilient force of the coil spring 72 and touches a contact 74 for horn, a horn device is actuated. The pad member 24 is engaged with the bottom surface of the switch assembly 82A and prevented from slipping off in the separating direction relative to the bracket 52 which is fixed to the core without using any fastening means.</p> |
