PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond product producing method by which the diamond can be produced by eliminating or minimizing an expensive post-treatment after being synthesized. SOLUTION: This invention includes a mold 20 having the negative shape of a desired diamond tool main body and a finished surface. A diamond deposited by a vapor phase method such as a chemical vapor deposition method is applied to the mold. After the diamond is deposited in a certain thickness, the mold 20 is dissolved in an acid or another appropriate solvent while leaving a diamond casting mold for replicating the desired main body shape and the surface finish. The diamond casting mold is used for producing an appropriate tool such as a cutting insert or a wire stretching die.
