PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel benzoylaminoisoindoline derivative that has excellent apolipo protein B (ApoB) antisecretory action and hypolipidemic action and is useful as a medicine, a method of producing the same and a synthetic intermediate. SOLUTION: This novel compound is a benzoylaminoisoindoline derivative represented by general formula [I] (ring A is a 5- or 6-membered aromatic heterocyclic ring which may be substituted; ring B is a benzene ring which may be substituted; Q is -CO- or -CH2-; R is a lower alkyl which may be substituted or a lower alkenyl which may be substituted, a carbamoyl which may be substituted, a heterocyclic group which may be substituted and an aryl group which may be substituted) or pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
