SOLUTION: For this absorptive article 1, the absorbent 4 is interposed between a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and a liquid non-permeable back surface sheet 2 and the pressed groove 7 is formed by linearly pressing the absorbent 4 together with the surface sheet 3 from the side of the liquid permeable surface sheet 3. The pressed groove 7 is formed of a pressing roll 9 for pressed groove formation provided with a projection part 10A for groove formation for which groove bottom high pressed parts 12 and groove bottom low pressed parts 13 with a height difference from the groove bottom high pressed parts 12 are alternately formed along a longitudinal direction at a tip surface part and side press parts 14 in a slope shape are formed to side wall surfaces including the groove bottom high pressed parts 12 and the groove bottom low pressed parts 13.
