PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dryer which has easy operability and improved portability by reducing the total length of the main body. SOLUTION: This hair dryer comprises an air tunnel 2 with an air inlet and an air outlet, a heater 9 fixed in the air tunnel 2, and a blower unit fixed in the air tunnel 2. The blower unit 14 is constituted of a holder 17 with a holding part 16, a fan 21, and a commutator motor 23 connected with the fan 21. All or a part of the motor 23 is placed within a space in the fan 21.
