<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor the progress of cleaning work of soil and groundwater contaminated with hazardous substances and to accurately predict the progress of the cleaning work. SOLUTION: A water pumping well 1 and a gas suction well 4 are provided in the contaminated ground and contaminated substances are removed from the pumped-up groundwater and the sucked and extracted gas in gaps in the soil, and data related to contaminated conditions are detected from a plurality of monitoring wells 6 by means of a monitoring apparatus 7. On the other hand, data related to stratum structure of the contaminated ground, data related to the contaminated conditions, or the like, are inputted into a computer 11 (an arithmetic unit) and simulation based on operation on the progress of cleaning of contamination is performed. The result in the simulation is compared with the monitored contamination data and, when the values are estranged from each other, the simulation is performed again by changing parameters. In addition, even when the parameters are changed within an appropriate range and when the values to be compared with do not coincide with each other, the model for the simulation is rethought.</p> |
