PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of installed monitoring cameras when the latest position of an arbitrary object in shot images picked up by the monitoring cameras is triangulated. SOLUTION: With the use of a plurality of shot images picked up by a single monitoring camera 11 on a time series basis, the latest position of an object is triangulated. The number of installed monitoring cameras 11 is reduced below that in a conventional example that uses a plurality of monitoring cameras to detect the latest position of an object from stereograms.
