CHAMFERING DEVICE OF PLATE GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chamfering device of plate glass hard to cause a defect on a surface of the plate glass and favorable in working precision and a chamfering method. SOLUTION: The chamfering device 30 is constituted by furnishing a turn table 36 to rotate by 90 deg. each around a rotating center 34, four holding surface plates 38 arranged rotation-symmetrically with 90 deg. intervals between each other on the turn table 36 and to hold and fix the rectangular plate glass 32 in a state to project its outer peripheral part, a positioning means 40 to position the plate glass 32 applied to one of the holding surface plates 38 at a prescribed position and three working means arranged around the rotating center 34 in correspondence with each of the plate glass 32 held and fixed on each of the other holding surface plates 38 as well as positioned by the positioning means 40 and to chamfer and work the outer peripheral part of the plate glass 32 by a working tool.
