PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove stains such as germs and spots adhered to the washing which cannot be removed only by detergent, and to prevent a washing assistant from remaining in the washing, in a washing machine having a washing assistant charging device for charging the washing assistant into a spinning tub. SOLUTION: A pulsator 8 is rotatably disposed on an inner bottom of the spinning tub 2, the spinning tub 2 and the pulsator 8 are driven by a motor 5, water is fed into the spinning tub 2 by a first water feed valve 14, and the washing assistant is charged into the spinning tub 2 by a second water feed valve 15. The operations of the motor 5, the first water feed valve 14, the second water feed valve 15, or the like are controlled by a control device 17 so that a plurality of rinsing steps can be performed, and the second water feed valve 15 is driven in the rinsing step before the final rinsing step.
