PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified composite label web which can be used in different labelers having different feed wheels including different patterns of feed teeth without excessively weakening a carrier web of the composite label web or without increasing a tendency that the carrier web is torn off. SOLUTION: The composite label web (C) which can be used in different labelers (20) having different feed wheels (30) is disclosed. The different feed wheels have different arrangements or patterns of feed teeth (32 to 34). The composite label web comprises a carrier web (W) and labels (L) releasably adhered by a pressure sensitive adhesive to the carrier web. Respectively separate feed aperture patterns (41 to 43) are provided in the carrier web for each of the patterns of the feed teeth. The number of the feed apertures is kept to a minimum, and more particularly the number of the apertures is less than the total number of the feed teeth.
