PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a 2'-deoxyadenosine derivative without restriction of a feeding amount by eliminating the conventional defect. SOLUTION: This method for producing the 2'-deoxy-β-adenosine derivative by which the derivative is easily isolated and purified is established by discovering that when the condensing reaction of a compound of formula [1] with an adenine salt is carried out in 2-butanone or 4-methyl-2-pentanone, the 2'-deoxy-β-adenosine derivative [2] is formed in a highβ-selectivity (in the formulas, R is a phenyl group which may be substituted).
