COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR SETTING VALUE THROUGH SOFTWARE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A computer system for setting value through software and a method for controlling the same are provided to set a setting value of a CPU through a software instead of a jumper when a class of the CPU is changed. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(10) executes a general control of a computer system. A bus(20) is connected to the CPU(10) and supplies a path of a signal. An instruction input unit(30) is connected to the bus(20) for inputting an optional instruction. A screen display unit(40) is connected to the bus(20) and displays data through a screen. A chip set unit(50) displays data with respect to a setting value through the screen display unit(40) by a control of the CPU(10). If a specific setting value is inputted through the instruction input unit(30), the chip set unit(50) outputs signals for setting the inputted specific setting value. The first setting value storage(60) receives the signals being output from the chip set unit(50), stores the signals as specific setting values, and outputs the specific setting values. A setting value transmitting unit(70) transmits the specific setting values being output from the first setting value storage(60) to the CPU(10).
