PURPOSE: A program memory method in a compact disc device is provided for a user to listen to songs recorded on a compact disc according to the sequence that the user desires by memorizing the desired output sequence of the songs. CONSTITUTION: A program memory method in a compact disc device includes the steps of determining whether a memory button is on(S1), determining whether a predetermined time lapsed(S2), outputting data in a memorized sequence by advancing to data reading mode if time lapsed less(S3), stopping the data reading mode(S4), determining whether the up button or the down button is on by advancing into writing mode if time lapsed more(S5), counting data of the up and down buttons while the up and down buttons are on(S6), memorizing the counted data(S7), and stopping the writing mode(S8).
