PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pachinko machine capable of enhancing a player's will to play. SOLUTION: In the pachinko machine, if a ball enters a starting prize hole, three symbols are changed and displayed on a display device for a predetermined time; just before a jackpot is won, the symbols are stopped and displayed in a jackpot combination. The number R1 of times that a ready-to-win condition does not lead to a jackpot, in which case two of three symbols are stopped as jackpot symbols but only the final symbol is stopped as a symbol other than jackpot symbols, is counted, and each time the number R1 becomes a multiple of 5, a difference between an average value M of the number of times that a ready-to-win condition does not lead to a jackpot during the previous jackpot and the current number R1 of times that a ready-to-win condition does not lead to a jackpot is calculated; a predictive message saying that a jackpot will be won after (M-R1) ready-to-win conditions is displayed on the display device (S350, S360).
