<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment dispersion and a colorant composition having excellent flow characteristics and dispersion stability and to provide a color filter having excellent surface roughness and contrast. SOLUTION: This pigment dispersion has an amino group in a quinophthalone skeleton represented by general formula 1. The pigment dispersion comprises a phthalic acid derivative represented by general formula 2 or general formula 3. (wherein, R1 to R3 are each selected from hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl group and an aryl group; m and n denote each an integer of 1-4; and R4 and R5 are each selected from hydrogen, a halogen and an alkyl group). The pigment composition consists essentially of a pigment, a resin and solvent and the colorant composition comprises the pigment dispersion. The color filter comprises colored layers which are colored films formed of each colorant composition.</p> |
