PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work supporting device capable of firmly holding a work at an adjusting position and easily carrying out adjustment and a wire saw using it. SOLUTION: Force to hold the work by pressure contacting a second adjusting block 41 with a standard surface 40a of a support plate 40 and force to hold the work by pressure contacting a work mounting plate 35 with a standard surface 45b of a first adjusting block 45 are given by spring force f1 of a compression spring 67. Thrust f2 of a rod 71a is given in the direction to reduce the spring force f1 by projecting the rod 71a of a cylinder 71 in adjusting crystal orientation of the work. |
