PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of welding work by reducing a handling time of bolt setting work of a hand holding type inert gas welding gun so as to shorten a working time. SOLUTION: A tool is provided with a positioning part 21 for setting which is engaged with a gas shield fixture of a hand holding type welding gun Y, a bolt holder part 22 to support a stud bolt S set inside the positioning part 21 for setting, a bolt setting part 2 constituted so that when the gas shield fixture is fitted into a fitting part 21b of the positioning part 21 for setting, the stud bolt S supported on a cylindrical part 22b of the bolt holder part 22 is mounted to a chuck, and a guide part 3 for welding, in which a work abutting face 1b is formed on a rear face, a guide hole 3a to be freely inserted into the gas shield fixture faces to the work abutting face 1b and which is pierced in the vertical direction of the work abutting face 1b.
